About performances & classes

A Playback performance is more than just entertainment. Audience members laugh, cry, get insights about their life, and feel an expanded sense of community. You can share a moment from your life and see it performed, or just come to watch. We perform monthly in Arlington plus additional shows around town.

Our Playback classes are friendly, informal, and intimate, an enriching experience for both newcomers and experienced actors.

Sunday, October 1

True Story Theater and the Medford Family Network invite you to share a piece of your family story, and watch as the stories come to life in a unique and engaging theatrical performance. Actors will listen deeply to stories and portray the feelings, joys, strengths, challenges that emerge. Whether you contribute a story or simply watch and enjoy the performance, the audience will connect with one another and the actors through shared experience.

After the interactive performance, each family will create their own books about themselves and their families to take home.
