About performances & classes

A Playback performance is more than just entertainment. Audience members laugh, cry, get insights about their life, and feel an expanded sense of community. You can share a moment from your life and see it performed, or just come to watch. We perform monthly in Arlington plus additional shows around town.

Our Playback classes are friendly, informal, and intimate, an enriching experience for both newcomers and experienced actors.

Healthy relationships – supporting teens

A FREE WORKSHOP for teens, parents, and allies.

Join True Story Theater, Arlington First Step Domestic Violence Program & Arlington Youth Counseling Center to learn together:

How do we support teens to be in healthy relationships?
How do you spot the potential for harmful relationships?
How do you offer support in a way that is going to be useful?

AYCC will offer skills for preventing and intervening when there is dating violence. True Story Theater will offer a chance for participants to share their stories and practice skills to support teens to recognize and shift out of harmful relationships.
