Come see True Story Theater in Medford at Tuft’s Park!
In partnership with Medford Family Network, festival attendees can try out an activity that illuminates patterns of implicit biases, subconscious stereotypes that affect the way we make decisions. Then, True Story Theater actors will invite attendees to explore their experiences around bias and stories around barriers and opportunities for connection.
True Story Theater uses improvisational theater with heart to facilitate deeper dialogue. Audience members are invited to speak of their experiences, and actors honor the stories told through drama, movement, and music. Participants often gain a better understanding for others’ perspectives .www.TrueStoryTheater.org
Medford’s Diversity Day is presented by the Center for Citizenship and Social Responsibility, Mayor Burke’s Office, and the Human Diversity Office.
Come for music, food, games, and performances for all ages. All welcome!
These events are supported by the Medford Arts Council, a local agency supported in part by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
