We have all lived through nearly two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, alone and together. Each of us has faced times of emergency and emergence, loss and grief, disorientation and recalibration, growth and celebration. As we enter the fall season, what changes have we lived through, and what are we harvesting from the seeds we planted? What challenges have we met that we didn’t know we could overcome or rise above? What have we learned about ourselves and the world we inhabit? Who are we now?
Join True Story for this online community-building improvisational theater experience in which personal stories from audience volunteers are respectfully transformed into theatre pieces in the moment. Come to share a story or listen and watch as True Story’s actors creatively embody the essence of the feelings and themes we all witness. Playback Theatre can offer new perspectives, a space to be seen and heard, a memorable artistic experience, and an enhanced sense of connection with and empathy for others.
Tickets: $15 general, $5 – $30 pay-what-you-can, free option available
