About performances & classes

A Playback performance is more than just entertainment. Audience members laugh, cry, get insights about their life, and feel an expanded sense of community. You can share a moment from your life and see it performed, or just come to watch. We perform monthly in Arlington plus additional shows around town.

Our Playback classes are friendly, informal, and intimate, an enriching experience for both newcomers and experienced actors.

Perspectives and Perceptions on Building a New High School

November 7 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Wednesday Nov. 7th, 7-9 pm
The Arlington HS Building Committee & True Story Theater present:

A community dialogue on what a new high school means to you. Through True Story’s interactive story-telling theatre, community members are offered a space to have their experiences heard and reflected back with creativity and respect. Audience members are invited to share their thoughts and feelings, and actors honor what was shared, through drama, movement, and music. From this simple interaction, people can gain fresh perspectives and insights. It’s fine to just come and witness.
