Why take a Playback Theatre class?
Playback classes are fun, connective, and offer many useful life skills to  both actors and non-actors.  If you are new to Playback classes, please see our Overview page (add link) to read the many juicy ways you can benefit from taking classes.

Thursday night series – March 26-May 2
This series is open to both new and continuing students, and is especially for those who might want to audition for True Story Theater on Sunday, May 5th.
We will cover Playback basics:  listening to the heart of the story, embodying the essence of what you hear, simple use of props and music, and some simplified Playback forms (3-part story; directed scenes).  Individual coaching available for those who want it.  Class size is capped at 15 people.

True Story Theater director, Christopher Ellinger, and other guest teachers from the True Story Theater troupe.

Location
True Story Theater’s home studio in East Arlington

Cost
$90-150 (sliding scale) for 6-class series. You must prepay for the series or make special arrangements with the instructor.  Please contact us to negotiate scholarships or work exchange.
